BOARD OF REGENTS MEETING OF APRIL 20, 2007


The meeting was called to order by Benni F., Chairman Board of Regents at 7:30 P.M.

A letter of resignation to the Board by Domingo A. was read. Steve K., first on the replacement list was welcomed as a new Board member.

Present: Benni F., Lanny R., Phil K., Tom L., Tom P., Steve K. and Karen H., International Executive Secretary.

1- A. The minutes of the Board of Regents meeting of March 16, 2007 were read and approved.

2-OLD BUSINESS

A. Discussion on Lifeliners. There were 2 new Lifeliners, one each from Kentucky and New Jersey.
There were 3 new Cans, one each from Idaho, Kansas and New Jersey.
24 Starter Kits were sent out in March including 3 that went to prisons and we had 8 new Group Information Forms received back as follows: 1 each from Campbell, California; Bogalusa, Louisiana; Cottage Grove, Oregon; Gold Hill, Oregon; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; St. George, Utah; Colonial Heights, Virginia and Shell Lake, Wisconsin.

B. G.A. Name and Logo. Spoke to attorney regarding transfer of gamblersanonymous.com domain name. All traffic to the site goes directly to gamblersanonymous.org website. The Board will request at the Trustee meeting that the Trustee Officers announce that all local Intergroup websites remove the G.A. Logo from their websites.

3-NEW BUSINESS

A. Review Trustees Agenda. Discussed item 75 - No consensus was reached as to pro or con. Item 76 - Board consensus is that the 1-year term remains in effect.

B. Update on Literature. The Combo Book is now available for sale on CD. A motion was made to set the price at $2.00 each.

There are currently 7 pieces of literature being reprinted. The Red Book and Information Packet are being revised as per the Board of Trustees changes. All back covers are now being made uniform on information and text including the new National Hotline number when literature needs reprinting.

C. Discuss Maturing of Bank of the West CD. One of the CD’s has matured and is being rolled over into a 7-month account at a 5% annual yield.

The collection in the amount of $16.00 was taken and the meeting was closed with the Serenity Prayer. The next meeting of the Board of Regents will be held on May 25, 2007 at 7:30 P.M.
